Imprint is an exploration of my disconnect from both body and country. Inspired by Ana Mendieta’s ‘Siluteta’ series, the negative space figure and the native Cepora perimale butterfly symbolise the change of self-perception overtime. The whole piece is displayed as an artefact; strung up like something to be dissected.
