Bunbury Faces Down the Male Loneliness Epidemic
10 x 20 cm | Sculpture – ceramic
SOLD
Here we see Bunbury, contemplating his fate as an object that has been augmented to better face the loneliness he felt in his last incarnation. He feels most useless at times, often wondering if he will be on the shelf forever, collecting dust, staring unblinkingly into the air, a bunch of colourful yet scentless flowers clenched on his hand- but no love came his way. Now with his magnificent new head, and soulful eyes- he feels much more hopeful that love will come his way.

“One head is never enough!” declared the WoManticore – who had a love of hats. Phoebe, her companion, internally withered. She felt so inferior – only having one head and a rather homely face. But she did have the most resplendent green bonnet.
Day Dreams of Bucephalus
25 x 30 cm | Bastardised ceramic
$300
Bucephalus was Alexander The Great’s horse who was afraid of his own shadow. So Alexander the Great learned to walk Bucephalus always facing the sun. At these times, when blinded by the sun, and knowing he was likely to be finding himself shortly surrounded by dismembered bodies and blood, Bucephalus would dissociate and imagine he was experiencing far finer things than being marched by a sociopath into another battle.
