My sculpture is of my x-husband who is transitioning to become a woman. Hence ‘Becoming’. Earlier in his life he was a cross dresser – he was angry and ashamed of that. They are now delighted to realise transitioning is a possibility for them. They have explained that this is the most comfortable they have ever felt in themselves and their body. Their situation is well received by the broader community and is well supported by their family.
