Yvette Hamilton is an Australian interdisciplinary artist and academic of Mauritian descent working on the unceded lands of the Dharug and Gundungurra people (Blue Mountains, NSW). She is an Associate Lecturer in Photography and Moving Image at UNSW Art and Design and a current PhD candidate at the University of Sydney. Yvette’s work has been shown in Australia and overseas over the past ten years.
Rebecca Waterstone holds a Master of Art (With Excellence) from the University of NSW Art and Design, and a Bachelor of Education from Western Sydney University.
Since 2017 she has been an elected standing committee member of the contemporary art organisation Modern Art Projects Blue Mountains (MAPBM)
For 30 years Rebecca has worked in Australia and internationally as an artist, curator and art educator. Through her art, she devises and delivers unique site-specific contemporary projects that expand conventions of drawing, painting, photography and film.
The bentART exhibition will be held over the June King’s Birthday long weekend. The in-person event will be held at Katoomba and all artworks will also appear in the bentART online virtual gallery available to viewers worldwide.
